I tell everyone I know that Someplace Else is my favorite sandwich place in all of Oklahoma City -probably in the whole state! I always get the avocado and cream cheese sandwich-and I am NEVER disappointed! I have been coming to this deli since 1988 and it just keeps getting better-they have extended their hours to
6:30 PM so now I will be by for dinner too!
Be sure you try at least one cookie per trip! My favorite is probably the gingerbread man-he's so cute! But honestly every cookie is worth trying! Thanks Someplace Else for being such a consistently wonderful place! -

Try the #1 Hot (add mayo & black olives) must get several S'more cookies! Soup specials are good too! Yum! Can't go wrong here!

This is my favorite sandwich place is OKC. It's tucked away near 23rd street. They have such great cookies, sandwiches, and customer service! I always get a great deal on the food. They're also really great for catering. If you need a warm sandwich quick this is the place to go!

First question: How do they survive with these prices?
Second question: How long will they be around?
Third question: How do they make such awesome desserts?
This place has been around for a very long time and they haven't invested a lot into renovations, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. (This may be partially the answer to question 1).
For Q#2, I hope forever, since they are really good. The food is great and are always willing to accoomodate my crazy needs, like adding blackened or grilled chicken to an avocado cream cheese sandwich. I do recommend it.
To highlight question 3, the desserts have never disappointed and if that is against your diet, fear not, they have bananas. The choice is yours, but I think you will cower down to the sugar gods and get a cavity. The desserts are $0.62, while most other places charge $2-3 for a similar size brownie /lemon tart.
The biggest flaw about this place is the parking and their hours. The hours are pretty restrictive for dinner as they close by 6 or 7pm at the latest. I am unsure where to park if the 4 spots upfront are taken. -

Simple and solid.
Those words describe this place. The bread is handmade. Great customer service in this pop & mom like sandwich joint.
The pastries are bomb. Very fresh and tastes like something that would be at your grandma's house.
Nice lunch joint. Check it out when you are in the Uptown OKC area.
